Dr Naresh Verma

Dr Verma is an Australian trained, dual specialised doctor, with qualifications as a psychiatrist and occupational physician. He works both as a treating psychiatrist and in an assessment capacity doing medico-legal work. He works at St John of God Private hospital and clinic and Gordon clinic and hospital treating mood disorders, psychosis and personality disorders using a combined pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approach. He uses cognitive behavioural therapy and schema therapy as part of his psychological treatment. He focuses on achieving functional gains as part of his treatment outcome measures. His special interest is in compensable psychiatric illness including Workers Compensation and CTP claims and the emerging field of Occupational Psychiatry.
